This book has been recommended as required reading for investors.
The main thing I learned is that Jesse Livermore, his son, and his grandson all committed suicide seemingly due to their inability to divorce themselves from the boom-bust cycles of addicted gamblers.
The book introduces Livermore as “one of the greatest investors of all time.” Nonsense. He was a skilled gambler that didn’t have the wisdom to hang on to some of what he earned.
